1. Agreement to Terms
By booking or utilizing the services of SH Recovery (trading through shvehiclerecovery.co.uk, telephone: 07570 781 762), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These terms apply to all breakdown recovery, accident towing, vehicle transportation, and roadside assistance provided by us.
2. Quotations & Pricing Transparency
- All quotations provided by telephone, WhatsApp, or email are calculated based on the details supplied by the customer (including vehicle make, model, condition, collection location, and destination).
- Quotations are agreed upon prior to driver dispatch. Unless additional unexpected circumstances arise (such as undisclosed missing keys, severe off-road extraction, locked transmissions, or extended waiting times exceeding 30 minutes), the agreed quote remains final.
- Payment must be made upon vehicle loading or upon delivery by card, cash, or verified bank transfer unless credit account terms have been agreed in advance.
3. Response Times & ETAs
Estimated times of arrival (ETAs) are provided in good faith and represent our best operational forecast. However, response times may be influenced by prevailing road conditions, motorway traffic congestion, weather extremes, or unforeseen incidents on UK highways. We will endeavor to notify you promptly of any delays.
4. Customer Responsibilities & Vehicle Access
- Authority to Move: The customer warrants that they are the legal owner of the vehicle or are authorized by the owner or insurance company to commission recovery.
- Accurate Condition Disclosure: Customers must disclose whether the vehicle rolls, steers, has keys, is missing wheels, or has suffered structural damage. Failure to disclose non-rolling status may require specialized equipment and incur adjusted fees.
- Personal Belongings: While we exercise due care, SH Recovery accepts no liability for personal items left inside the vehicle. Customers are advised to remove valuables prior to loading.
5. Cancellations & Call-Out Fees
If you request emergency dispatch and subsequently cancel after a recovery vehicle has been mobilized and is en route, a reasonable call-out fee will be charged to cover driver allocation, fuel, and time. Cancellations for advance/scheduled vehicle transport must be made at least 12 hours prior to the booked collection time.
6. Insurance & Damage Coverage
SH Recovery maintains comprehensive Motor Trade Road Risk, Goods In Transit, and Public Liability insurance. Our liability commences once the vehicle is being loaded onto our recovery transporter and terminates once the vehicle is safely unloaded at the agreed destination. Pre-existing vehicle damage, rust perforation, or mechanical failures occurring prior to recovery are excluded.
7. Motorway Safety Compliance
For recoveries conducted on UK motorways or major dual carriageways, customers and passengers must adhere to our recovery technician's safety instructions, including remaining behind motorway crash barriers during recovery operations.
